I can't believe how much it is snowing right now. Davis is very excited about it. He keeps looking out the window and oooooing and ahhhing. Davis is 16 months old! I can't believe that either. He just helped me vacuum the house and wipe the floors! I am trying to teach him to do some chores of his own, especially cleaning up toys! So far he is really good at putting toys back where they belong, but they don't stay there for long. He is really hilarious to watch run around all day long. He loves eating everything, climbing on anything he can, and making fun noises. His favorite word is "uh-oh!" He says it when he falls down, is about the throw something on the floor, or do anything else he is not supposed to. He LOVES jumping on the bed, something that we didn't want to teach him, but someone else did that for us! I wave my finger and say, "No more monkeys jumping on the bed!" And he waves his finger right back at me. It is amazing to see how much he is learning and experimenting every day! Some more pictures to come...

The next day of our journey we stayed with the Koethes' super cute place in the cities...
This is Baby Ella and I, the beautiful girl of our friend's Jonny and Nikole. She was so sweet and cuddly!

Davis had kisses for baby Ella. He also liked to steal her toys. Luckily, Ella was so laid back that she was willing to share.

davis meets baby daxton!

We made a trip up to Minnesota for New Year's to meet Kevin's friend Maurice's new baby boy Daxton James. It was great to see friends and meet the little one. He was precious. Davis and Daxton seemed to get along great.

Davis would kiss Daxton, but he also thought it was fun to bouncy his bouncy seat way too vigourously. Daxton was pretty chill about it though.

At midnight New Year's Eve...Daxton made it most of the night with us. Davis went to sleep at his usual time, so he missed this pic.

Davis had a fun playdate today with his new friend Clarabella. She wanted to cuddle with him, and he didn't like the idea so much. Once it was time to leave, I think they finally started getting along, Davis wasn't very friendly at first. Hopefully next time Davis will not be so afraid of her! She is a very sweet girl!

Isn't this the cutest storytime ever! Aunt Dana, Cousins Makayla and Quinn and Daddy all helped put Davis to sleep.

christmas trees!

In an exciting crafting experiement I made these Christmas trees out of wine corks for gifts for my mom and sister-in-law for presents, and they turned out really neat. I am thinking about selling them somehow...would any of you blog readers out there buy something like this for presents or yourself?

master bedroom painted!

We are so thankful that our new home doesn't need much work at all, but one thing we have been wanting to accomplish is painting a few of the rooms. The previous owners selected many nice shades of beige and brown throughout the whole house, but Kevin and I like a little more color. We weren't sure how this would turn out, but our first project was the master bedroom. Here are a few pics of the final result. The color is called Mayan Gold, and it is pretty nice. It has taken some getting used to, but it works with our bedding and everything. It is also really nice to have cleaner lines of paint. Let's just say that the previous job was a little messy. Kevin is an awesome painter, which we already knew, but he is great at painting rooms too! Davis enjoys the new color too! Here are some pics of him enjoying it...the first time he saw it he went crazy running around and flailing about on our bed.
