Labor!

My labor went amazingly well. My water broke at 2:45 am and I started having regular contractions. We went to the hospital at about 5:30 am. When we got there I was 2 cm dialated and 80% effaced. So...we got into the labor and delivery room and then started by walking the halls as the contractions started to get stronger. We tried rocking on the birthing ball, and taking a jazzuci tub for awhile to help with the pains. By about 11:00 am I was 100% effaced and 4 cm dialated. The contractions were pretty unbearable at this point, so I decided to get the epidural. We then had to wait for almost an hour for the anesthesiologist to come, and I was really glad I made the decision to get the epidural because at that point, the only way I could get through the contractions was knowing that someone was coming to help me! So, I got the epidural, and the rest was smooth sailing. So from the time I got the epidural at about 12:3o or 1:00 pm until about 4:30 we rested and visited. It was really fun! By 4:30 they checked and I was completely dialated to 10cm and ready to push. I started pusing at about 4:45pm and little Davis was born by 5:33pm! The pushing was not as hard as I expected and went really easily.10 cm...ready to push!

After the epidural....ahhhhhhh.
